Communities across our province need support to rebuild from the devastation and aftermath of recent wildfires.
The devastation caused by wildfires can have a lasting impact on people and neighbourhoods, including the impacts on mental health and psychosocial wellbeing.
In response, we, in partnership with Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia and Ulnooweg Indigenous Communities Foundation, have established the We Rise Again Fund.
We are also working in partnership with other organizations to help respond to many individual and community needs. While our efforts are focused on rebuilding and resiliency, the Canadian Red Cross is assisting with case management, and the United Way is focusing on recovery and restoration.
