A scholarship in dedication to Andrew’s life.
The Lt(N) Andrew Webster Scholarship was established in 2014 to honour the late naval officer who passed away while serving on HMCS Toronto. Andrew was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, and the Royal Military College, and always spoke fondly of his time at Dartmouth High.
The intent of this annual scholarship is to grant $2,000 to a graduate of Dartmouth High who embodies Andrew’s qualities as an all-around student who enjoyed academics, sports and friends. The scholarship will be awarded to a student selected by the Dartmouth High scholarship committee planning to attend a post-secondary university or technical college accredited by the Government of Canada.
As a graduating student of Dartmouth High:
a. Academic Achievement: 25%. The student must demonstrate a level of academic achievement required to be selected for his post-secondary course of studies.
b. Extracurricular Activities: 25%. The student must be an active participant in school sports, clubs and student council, and volunteer activities.
c. Financial Need: 25%. The student must demonstrate a need for financial support to attend post-secondary education.
d. Support of Fellow Students: 25%. The student must must be friendly, compassionate, and caring to his/her fellow students.
The deadline for applications is May 26.

The scholarship will be awarded once the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia has received proof of registration and attendance at a post-secondary institution.
