In Charlesville, NS the employees of Acadian Seaplants understand that children are our future. They also firmly believe that those children will grow to help us build better communities.
COVID-19 has placed severe challenges on those who educate our next generation, and we have learned that Evelyn Richardson Memorial Elementary School (ERMES) in Shag Harbour does not have enough Computers to deal with COVID-19.
As a community service, the employees have decided to assist them in securing what they need and they are hoping that others will want to help.
Charlesville has committed $1,000 towards the purchase of Google Chromebooks the school needs. Now we’re reaching out to Nova Scotians to help collect the remainder that they need to keep our classrooms learning.
Here's How You Can Help
In total, 25 Chromebooks are needed. If you can make a financial donation towards the purchase of a Chromebook or two – that’s great, but every donation, regardless of size, will help and is greatly appreciated.
A plaque will be presented to the school that will contain the names of all who contribute. You can have your name engraved or the name of someone in memoriam. This is a great opportunity to show you care about our children, their education, their future, and our community.
If you would like to donate to this fund, donations of up to $500 can be made through CanadaHelps.
For donations over $500, please contact the CFNS office.
