The point about being connectors is that by having a foot in so may different worlds, they have the effect of bringing them all together.

Map of First Nations

We live, work, and play in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.

People of African descent have shared these lands, in what is now called Nova Scotia, for more than 400 years; over 50 strong and resourceful African Nova Scotian communities exist here today.

Our commitment is to build relationships of understanding and mutual support with all communities in the work we do at CFNS.

About Us

Our mission is to build strong, vibrant and diverse communities throughout Nova Scotia by enabling and inspiring effective philanthropy.
