Community Foundation of Nova Scotia (CFNS) was founded to help improve the quality of life for Nova Scotians by providing knowledge and support for communities, charities, citizens, and corporations to realize their individual and collective possibilities.
Engage. Inform. Gather. Give
We live, work, and play in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.
People of African descent have shared these lands, in what is now called Nova Scotia, for more than 400 years; over 50 strong and resourceful African Nova Scotian communities exist here today.
Our commitment is to build relationships of understanding and mutual support with all communities in the work we do at CFNS.
